The Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) exam is conducted annually by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) for the post of Assistant Commandant (AC). Candidates who get selected in the CAPF exam can join as assistant commandant in any of these security forces- Border Security Forces or BSF, Indo-Tibetan Border Police or ITBP, Central Reserve Police Force or CRPF, Sashastra Seema Bal or SSB, and Central Industrial Security Force or CISF.
