The ESIC stands for the Employees State Insurance Corporation is a renowned insurance firm. Hence, it is under the ownership of the Labour and Employment Ministry of the Indian Government.

What do UDC, Steno, and MTS stand for? 

These are the full forms of these job posts by the ESIC.

  • UDC– Upper Division Clerk
  • MTS– Multi-Tasking Staff
  • Steno– Stenographer

Who can apply for the ESIC Exam? 

If you are a graduate or 10 pass or even 12 pass, then you can apply for the job. However, you have to remain within the age limit to proceed with the ESIC Exam. Along with that, you will also meet other eligibility criteria to get selected. 

What are the eligibility criteria for USC, MTS, and Stenographer Exam? 

These are the following eligibility criteria that you must know before applying for the job. 

For Upper Division Clerk (UDC)

Age– To appear for the ESCI UDC post, the candidates should be between 18- 27 years of age. 

Education– Furthermore, the candidates should have a relevant degree from any recognized university. Along with that, they must have efficient knowledge about computers. Also, they should know the use of databases and Office Suites. 

For ESIC Stenographer 

Age– The age limit to apply for this exam is between 18-27 years. 

Education– However, for this job, the candidate should at least have complete education up to Class 12. They must provide relevant documents to prove it. Apart from that, they can also have an equivalent degree from any university or board. 

Skill Test– Additionally, they must have the speed to type 8 words in one minute. Along with that, for Transcription, they will have 50 minutes for typing on the computer. So, you must have strong typing skills. 

For ESIC MTS 

Age– Hence, for this exam too, the candidate should have their age between 18-25 years. 

Education– If you are applying for the MTS job, then you must have Matriculation or equivalent qualification. Additionally, they must have proficiency in computers like handling databases and Office suites.

Moreover, all the candidates applying to various jobs must fit the nationality criteria. You can apply if you are-

  • Indian Citizen
  • Subject belonging to Nepal
  • Subject belonging to Bhutan
  • Tibetan refugees came to India before the date of January 1, 1962, for settling in India permanently. 
  • Indian origin migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, African Countries, and Burma. 

Age Relaxation for the Applicants

Candidates belonging to various groups can also get age relaxation to apply for this job. Note them down.

ST/SC 5 Years
Ex-Servicemen ST/SC- 8 Years

OBC- 6 Years

UR- 3 Years

(After removing the military service from starting from the actual age)

Government Servant/ESIC Employee (who have served for 3 years of continuous service) OBC-43 Years

UR- 40 Years

ST/SC- 45 Years

(Applicant should have the status of current employee until the appointment of their selection)

PWD OBC- 13 Years

UR-10 Years

SYT/SC- 15 Years
