Whether you’re studying for your class 10 exams, or simply expanding your knowledge base, the tips provided in the article will help you get the most out of your study. It is not necessarily about working harder, but how to study smarter. Following are the tips that you should consider implementing in your study routine, right away!
- Fake it till you make it
Get hold of a friend or a well-wisher and prepare a lecture for them about the topic that you’re trying to learn. By explaining the topic, you’ll achieve two things:
- You will identify the gaps in your understanding
- It will make you more confident about your understanding of the topic.
- Keep it green
Scientific research shows that the colour green helps with human concentration. Make sure to buy a few green highlighters.
- Hand-written notes
Hand-written notes are incredibly important for memory formation and recall.
- Study Repeatedly
The human brain possesses a bunch of databases and information is copied between them as it travels from the short-term memory to the long-term memory. Now, how do you tell your brain that the studied information is important and needs to be retained? The best way of doing this is to go over the information over and over again at different intervals such as an hour, a day, weeks, or months after learning. Just studying once doesn’t cut it.
- Practise, Practise and Practise
Class 10 students while studying for their board exams must practise the exercise questions given in the NCERT textbook without fail. The questions provided at the end of each chapter, give an in-depth understanding of the topic discussed.
