LPU NEST 2019 is conducted by Lovely Professional University for offering admission to its various programs in undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate levels. The test is conducted annually at various test centres in over 50 countries and 200 cities. LPU NEST is one of the eligibility criteria for some of the programs at Lovely Professional University and also forms the basis of scholarship its programs.

LPU NEST Application Form is available at the university official website. Candidates seeking admission into B. Tech, MBA, Applied Medical Sciences, Agriculture, Undergraduate programs in Design and Law, and Ph. D programs can apply online. The timeline for the exam as notified by the university is outlined below:

As evident from the schedule tabulated above, LPU NEST 2019 will be conducted twice before the admissions for the academic year starts, providing candidates with an opportunity to improve their scores and enhance the chances of getting selected in the university.

Though the registration timeframe extends for a month for each of the rounds of the exam, candidates are strongly advised to complete the application early in an order to avoid last minute rush or unforeseen technical glitches.

The following table summarizes the program options available in various disciplines at LPU along with their respective eligibility criteria:

Candidates appearing in 2019 are also eligible to apply. An overall aggregate score of 60% in 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects.

B. Tech in Biotechnology, Food Technology, Biomedical Engineering, subjects considered are PCE & Math/Biology/Biotechnology.

For B. Tech in Chemical Engineering & Petroleum, subjects considered are PCME.

In all above programs qualifying LPUNEST is a mandatory eligibility condition.

.MBA MBA,

MBA (Hons.)

Successful completion of Graduation Degree or equivalent from a recognized University. Candidates appearing in 2019 are also eligible to apply. An overall aggregate score of 50% in Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (any discipline) from a recognized university.

Qualifying LPUNEST and subsequent Interview process is a mandatory eligibility condition.

Hotel Management B. Sc. (Airlines, Tourism, and Hospitality)

B. Sc. (Hotel Management)

Bachelor of Hotel Mgt. and Catering Technology

An overall aggregate score of 50% in 10+2 with English as a compulsory subject.

5% relaxation to candidates from North East states of India / Defense Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants

The condition of English as a compulsory subject can be waived of for candidates whose medium of instruction during the qualifying exam was English.

Qualifying LPUNEST is a mandatory eligibility condition.

Design Bachelor of Design (B. Design), Bachelor of Science (B. Sc.) Successful completion of 10+2 level or equivalent from a recognized Board. Candidates appearing in 2019 are also eligible to apply. An overall aggregate score of 50% in 10+2 with English as a compulsory subject.

Qualifying LPUNEST is a mandatory eligibility condition.

Law B.A., LL.B.(Hons.),

B.Com., LL.B.(Hons.),

BBA, LL.B. (Hons.)

LL.M

For admission in B.A., LL.B.(Hons.), B.Com., LL.B.(Hons.) and BBA, LL.B. (Hons.) minimum aggregate score of 60% required in 10+2 or equivalent with English as a compulsory subject.

For LL.B. a minimum score of 50% in aggregate required in Graduation (any stream)

For LL.M. a minimum aggregate score of 50% required in LL.B.

Qualifying LPUNEST is a mandatory eligibility condition.

Please note that there will be a 5% relaxation to SC/ST candidates.

Agriculture B. Sc. Agriculture (Hons.) Successful completion of 10+2 level or equivalent from a recognized Board. Candidates appearing in 2019 are also eligible to apply. An overall aggregate score of 60% in 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry and Math/Biology, Forestry as a compulsory subject.

Candidates with 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th Boards or equivalent are also eligible to apply.

Qualifying LPUNEST is a mandatory eligibility condition.

5% relaxation in aggregate score secured in 12th Boards is allowed for SC/ ST applicants.

Applied Medical Sciences B. Pharm,

B. Sc. (Medical Lab. Technology)

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)

For B. Pharma, an overall aggregate score of 60% required in 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry and Math/Biology as a compulsory subject.

For BPT, an aggregate score of 60% required in 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as a compulsory subject.

For B. Sc., an aggregate score of 60% required in 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry and Math/Biology/Biotechnology as a compulsory subject.

The condition of English as a compulsory subject can be waived of for candidates whose medium of instruction during the qualifying exam was English.

Qualifying LPUNEST is a mandatory eligibility condition.

5% relaxation to candidates from North East states of India / Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants.

Ph. D Ph. D Post-graduation Degree in relevant discipline Post-graduation degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum aggregate score of 55% in the qualifying exam

5% relaxation to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) / differently-abled candidates.

Ph. D Applicants with valid UGC (NET/JRF)/ CSIR (NET/JRF)/ ICAR (JRF/ SRF) examination/ SLET (Punjab only)/ GATE/ GPAT/ ICAR (NET), or completed M.Phil. in the Regular mode) are exempt from appearing in the LPUNEST.

Selection is on the basis of Academic Merit, LPUNEST test score and Interview Performance

Please note that only Indian Nationals can apply for LPU NEST. The Application Form can be either accessed:

  • On the University website, filled in, fees paid online and submitted. Payment of application fees can be made through credit/debit cards or net banking. or,
  • The same can be procured from the university campus or off-campus offices and submitted offline as a hardcopy.

Before submission of the application, both online and offline, a copy of the filled in application form should be kept for the records.

Note:

  • The university will communicate all information regarding LPUNEST 2019, like slot booking, issue of e-hall ticket etc. through registered email ID only. Applicants should ensure to register with an active email ID.
  • Incomplete applications will be rejected outright without to the concerned applicant. So it is important to complete all details on the form carefully before submission
